Solebury Home Renewal

For their Corrigan Road residence, the homeowners partnered with our Solebury remodeling and design studio to refresh their home—revitalizing a dated kitchen, aging guest bath, and utilitarian powder-laundry room into a collection of inviting, highly functional interiors.

United by a shared appreciation for rich color, timeless materials, and enduring functionality, each room was designed to meet daily needs while celebrating the character of the home. What began as a series of individual renovations became a holistic transformation, where intentional design details and artisan craftsmanship connect the spaces in both form and feeling. This project utilized our full range of single-source responsibility design and build services, ensuring execution that was on-time and on-budget.

The kitchen felt closed off and constrained. A dividing peninsula interrupted the flow, and a wall at the far end separated a small, enclosed dining room. To create a more open and livable layout, we removed the wall, added a new window, and reconfigured the space to bring in natural light and expand the visual footprint.

The homeowners were drawn to a rich cranberry hue, and our design wove that preference into the space with care and restraint. Custom window treatments and a floor-to-ceiling pantry highlight the color in a balanced, intentional way. Open shelving and a chair rail detail along the backsplash add warmth, function, and a touch of personalization. This transformation is among our favorites—not only for its aesthetic impact, but for the way the space now supports the rhythms of daily life with grace and ease.

The existing guest bathroom was both outdated and compromised by a hidden leak. Inspired by the vibrant blues of the classic wallpaper the clients loved, we infused the room with color while ensuring every element served a purpose. Marble surfaces and aged brass accents add timeless richness, while the blue motif ties together the palette.

To ensure the space could gracefully serve the homeowners for years to come, we integrated a discreet bath bar within the tub and shower area—merging accessibility with beauty. The result is a room that balances elevated design with practical foresight, creating an inviting and enduring guest space.

The powder room and laundry alcove underwent a complete reimagining—what began as a fix for a freezing supply line became, in just three weeks, a cheerful and cohesive extension of the home’s design language.

Cream-toned shaker cabinets with brass knobs provide ample storage, while a wall-to-wall quartz counter above the washer and dryer offers room for folding and organizing. Schumacher’s “Marigold” wallpaper in yellow—designed in collaboration with Molly Mahon—ties the laundry visually to the adjoining bath, making the entire suite feel intentional and uplifting.

The old vanity was replaced with a Willow Bath & Vanity Aberdeen cabinet in a soft taupe finish, topped with a clean white counter. Hex marble mosaic tile grounds the space, while a woven basket softens the transition between vanity and toilet, adding everyday storage. With wallpaper wrapping every wall and the ceiling painted in a coordinating golden tone, the small room feels both cozy and elevated.

Simple cylindrical brass pulls were chosen for warmth and paired with a single-handle brass faucet. The Baldwin Ellipse privacy door knob with square rose continues the brass story, while a Four Hands Effie mirror in antique brass adds timeless character.

Instead of relying on harsh overhead light, we layered in Visual Comfort’s Lucia Tail Sconce in celadon and crystal. Its pale green tone introduces a soft accent against the wallpaper’s golden blooms.

This project reflects the heart of our Bucks County design-build studio’s philosophy: that every room—no matter its size or function—deserves thoughtful design and enduring craftsmanship. By honoring our clients’ love of color, layering in practical solutions, and approaching each space with intention, we created a harmonious home that is as beautiful as it is livable.
